About Us

Who are D & W? W, Wendy, has an M.Ed. and has taught for 25 years. She has taught just about every grade level from 1st through 8th plus special education. She is now a 6th grade reading specialist teacher in a charter school in St. Louis. D, David, has taught 4th grade for 10 years. Prior to teaching he worked as a state social worker with abused/ neglected children. He is currently working as a trainer for an educational software company.

This project grew out of information we have shared with colleagues both in person and on the Internet. For it to continue to grow and improve we need to hear from you. What particular tools do you find most useful to use as a teacher? Are there any specific ideas that you have had a lot of success with in the classroom? Have you had any experience with any of the materials we have shared? Let us know and we may add some of the comments we receive. We are especially interested in helping/supporting the student teacher and first year teacher. Please write us with any questions or concerns you have. We want to make this a top notch teacher site.
