A classroom web site is a great way to communicate with parents and students. It can also serve as a jumping off point for internet based lessons and exploration. I use my class page to post quizzes to help the students prepare for their tests. It is also a good forum for posting written pieces and art work. Several web sites have created templates and step-by-step directions to help you set up your classroom site. If your school district wants all of the teachers to have a web site, this is a great alternative to having everyone learn a web publishing program. Each teachers can use the site that fits his/ her personality the best with a link from the school site.
